Lunch with Coty & family

Back home in a wonderful winterland! It was +30 when we left Sydney, now it's -3 *C...
One of the hightlights of our trip to Australia was meeting Coty Farquhar, a blogger, I "met" about an year ago. I just fell in love with her work when I found her blogg.
And the person behind is just as fantastic - warm, cheerful and as passionate about creating beautiful scenery as myself. You can imagine how thrilled I was to get to meet her in person...

I didn't meet only Coty but also her lovely family (and she some of my clan, my two oldest children, my mom and my sister & her family). I tell you ,it was so nice and cosy, like meeting good old friends. I could have stayed a week and just talk and talk and talk - and look thru Coty's photos, beautiful treasures and old clippings from her Vogue-era.What an afternoon we had! Coty & family had prepared a delicious dinner - and the tablesetting was fabulous of course! For dessert we had a loveliest chocolate cheesecake ever - thank you Coty's friend Vicki!!!! It was a dream to see Coty's lovely home and where she works. Coty's husband Andrew is as talented and terrific as Coty, you can see more of his work here.

Coty's daughter has got her mom's genes and seemed to enjoy decorating as much as we older ladies :) . My Ellen helps me a lot as well...but our teenage sons on the other hand... they found lots to talk about, not decorating though :)

It was totally fantastic. A dream come true. Now I'm only waiting for Coty to put her material together to a beautiful book!!!
I've said it earlier but I have to say it again - I love blogging!!! It has given me sooo much! Thank you Coty and all the others I've met so far. Who's next :)
Hugs,
Minna :)

Greetings from Sydney

1. Bondi Beach.
3. Min systers fantastiskt vackra o stämningsfulla uteplats under en gammal ek. I bakgrunden syns en stenugn som hennes man byggt - världens godaste pizzor serveras här :)
4. Staden Sydney är (i mina ögon efter sex dagars vistelse) en kombination av New York, New Orleans, Medelhavet och London - toppad med härliga vänliga människor.
5. Oförglömlig nyårsfyrverkeri.

Allt gott, Minna :)
